This exhibition (16.03.2016 - 14.08.2016) presents an overview of the work of

an artist whose career decisively marked the panorama of visual arts in Peru in the second half of the twentieth century look. Formed in the modern tradition of art, however he learned to adapt to new practices that defined the artistic field from the sixties. The transition from painting to sculpture and site-specific interventions determined the course of a work that is unparalleled in the local scene and influenced the renewal of Peruvian art to searches related to our contemporaneity.
Curated by Natalia Majluf, director of MALI; and Sharon Lerner, curator of contemporary art at the museum, this exhibition presents itself as the largest show that so far he has dedicated to this important Peruvian artist. It emphasizes the work carried out between 1950 and 2010 in Lima and Europe, and includes a representative selection of about 100 pieces of painting, sculpture and site-specific intervention.
